Quote by Lao Tzu: Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream.

Water Your Dreams With Optimism

This pearl of wisdom from Lao Tzu is a poignant reminder on how to avoid the number one trap that can keep us from manifesting our dreams.  The greatest gift you can give to the world is living your dream. Unfortunately, fear, worry, and doubt are derailing many people's dreams.

A great practice to make sure your thoughts and emotions are supporting the manifestation of your dreams is summed up in this bit of wisdom below.

Starve your fears by feeding your dreams.

More specifically, whenever you find yourself worrying the best thing to do is to shift to making positive affirmational statements, imagining the best outcome, focusing on doing any little thing that is heading in the right direction, and even asking the universe for help (prayers, etc).  This way you replace your worry with positive and optimistic thoughts, words, and action.

Dwelling on your fears is so damaging to the manifestation of your dreams because you are a creator and you are creating with what you put your focus on and your thoughts, beliefs, emotions. So make sure that you choose empowering beliefs, that is ones aligned with the attainment of your dreams, and only think positive thoughts about attaining your dreams!

Here's what Lao Tzu said about nurturing your dreams.

Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success.  Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success.  Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.

Enjoy,
